The people behind the A-League’s marketing team have today found themselves red-faced after realising they’ve forgotten to market the league.
A member of the league’s marketing team faced the media this morning, saying “ah shit, you know when you get that feeling as if you’re forgetting something? Yeah, we’ve all had that for weeks”.
This realisation may have come far too late, as the current A-League season enters its 21st round this weekend.
The individual continued to say that they had “noticed that the crowds and TV ratings were falling to a critical level, but we just assumed it was because of the Winter Olympics and stuff”.
When asked what the team was going to do to make up for their mishap, the spokesman stated that “ah, well it’s a bit late now, ey? Might just save it for next season.”
