One of the Eagle’s all-time greats has returned home after accepting a part time role with the club just hours after his release from prison.
The job is set to keep Cousins busy as he is given the task of organising the club’s post season celebrations, something that the Eagles have been known for in the past.
A spokesperson from the Eagles spoke to the media today, explaining the role.
“We decided we needed someone to come to the club and help with all post season celebrations from Mad Monday to Footy Trips, and Ben was the perfect candidate.”
“As a club we had noticed the environment in the offseason had gotten progressively worse since 2007, and something needed to change for us to stay at the top.”
“We believe it will have mutual benefits for both parties. Ben gets to work with the club, and the players get to have a sick time in the offseason.” The spokesperson said.
The role has been described as part-time, however sources close to Cousins have revealed that he has been working tirelessly. His friend stated that “Ben began organising everything as soon as he got the call, and we haven’t seen much of him since.”
