Carlton fans across the nation are absolutely ecstatic about their team’s start to the season. This comes after their fourth loss in a row to Richmond in the season opener.
Although they didn’t get the win, Blues fans weren’t expecting much having lost in the opening round for the past five years, so it’s safe to say they’re used to the disappointment. But it wasn’t all doom and gloom tonight, with Carlton kicking the first five goals of the match, and giving it a red hot crack until three quarter time.
Credit to Carlton, they played an exciting brand of footy, something we haven’t seen from this team for years. And as it turns out, Patty Cripps is pretty fucking good, so there’s plenty to be excited about for their 50,000+ members.
There’s still every chance Carlton will do what they do best and get all the true believers hopes up before pissing it all away and going back to playing like shit, but we hope we’re proven wrong!
