Two Cricketers have officially called it quits, with three others questioning their future at a local B-Grade club, after their captain ordered the team to jog a warm up lap before training started.
“It’s an absolute joke” said one of the former players who recently spoke to The First Reserve. “We go out there to have a couple hits in the nets, have a few bowls and maybe 5 or 10 minutes of catching practice, I didn’t sign up for any of this exercise bullshit.”
The former player, who has asked not to be named, claims that he did in fact consider jogging the full warm up lap and even got half way through it, but says he was “struggling to breathe” in the 28 degree weather and had to stop and walk back to the clubrooms for a cold pint.
